You may be wondering why I’m talking about the Boston Bombings, Cleveland Kidnappings and YOU? Actually there’s a very good reason, hang with me.
I’m sure you’ve seen all of the news coverage on the Boston Marathon Bombings, you may or may or may not have seen or heard about the rescue of 3 women who were kidnapping victims more than 10 years ago.
The point is in just a matter of weeks the coverage for these events have been everywhere and depending on your level of consumption, it’s affecting you, your productivity, your business and more.
It’s important that you’re aware of this and to try to limit your exposure to as much of this type of news as much as possible. You’ve heard me forever talk about not watching/listening to the news as much as possible due to all of the negativity that you’re exposing your brain to.
The type of news from these latest events and others of this type can have depressing effect even though you may not realize it.
Working with business owners of all types from around the country and even locally, I’ve been able to see especially in the last six months how much negativity in the media is having an effect on business.
You need to do what you can to protect yourself, so that you, your business and even your family are affected as little as possible.
As a consultant and coach I’m able to see first hand the effects of the negative and depressing news that is being circulated. It’s real, do what you can to limit your exposure!
